Yield and % biological efficiency ranged from 17.2 kg/m2 (42%) to 31.4 kg/m2 (77%), depending on experimental conditions. The addition of non-composted sheep manure to the substrate increased yield. This procedure enables mushroom growers to produce portabello mushrooms on pasteurized non-composted substrates.
