La broca del café es considerada una de las plagas de mayor importancia en el cultivo a nivel mundial. Para su control se han adoptado diferentes estrategias, que van desde el uso de insecticidas químicos, integración de controladores biológicos, prácticas culturales e instalación de trampas de captura entre otras. Esta última técnica aprovecha el comportamiento de migración de la broca para capturarla y evitar la colonización de los nuevos frutos que conforman la futura cosecha, sin embargo, aún existe un vacío en cuanto al mejor tipo de trampa, atrayente y altura de colocación a nivel de campo y costo, por lo que el objetivo de este trabajo fue evaluar estos factores en condiciones de campo. El trabajo se localizó en la finca cafetalera "Vegas" ubicada en la localidad de Tuzamapan municipio de Coatepec, Veracruz, México, en un diseño experimental de bloques completamente al azar con cinco repeticiones, considerando los factores mencionados. Se determinó que el mejor tipo de trampafue la ETOTRAP, ya que cumple con la eficiencia, versatilidad y costo necesario para su uso intensivo en campo. spa
The coffee Berry borer is considered one of the most important pests in the crop worldwide. In order to control, different strategies have been adopted, ranging from the useof chemical insecticides, integration of biological controllers, cultural practices and the installation of trapping traps, among others. This last technique takes advantage of the migration behavior of the bit to capture it and avoid the colonization of the new fruits that make up the future harvest, however, there is still a gap in the best type of trap, attractant and placement height at the field level and cost, so the objective of this work was to evaluate these factors in field conditions. The work was located in the coffee farm "Vegas" in the town of Tuzamapan municipality of Coatepec, Veracruz, Mexico, in an experimental design of blocks completely random with five replicates, considering the factors mentioned. It was determined that the best type of trap was the ETOTRAP, because it complies with the efficiency, versatility and cost necessary for its intensive use in the field. eng
